No, but we recommend refrigeration whenever possible. Refrigerating will extend the life of the strains. You can always keep it in the fridge, and store your daily recommended dose in your bag to take later as needed.

Yep! Zero animal products or byproducts, unlike other probiotics formulas you might run into.
Is it cruelty-free?

Yes. Our manufacturing facility does not test any finished products on animals.
Why is Truvani's Probiotic in capsule form and not tablet?

Tablets tend to lose integrity and degrade probiotic strains during the manufacturing process. We chose capsule to ensure less probiotic strains die off while the product is being made.
Is it tested for heavy metals and other contaminants?

Yes. We rigorously third-party test every single product for purity and potency before it even enters our facility, then again for traces of mercury, lead, cadmium, arsenic, and glyphosate.
What is the country of origin?

All of our Probiotic's ingredients are sourced in the USA.
When should I take my capsule? Is it a delay release?

We recommend taking it in the morning before or with breakfast. It is not delayed release.
Can't I just get enough probiotics from food?

Beneficial microbes are found in fermented foods and supplements. We recommend eating fermented foods such as yogurt, kimchi, and kombucha, along with a daily probiotic supplement.
Why did you go with a cellulose capsule?

In order to best protect the quality of our probiotic powder, we needed to use a capsule. We wanted it to be plant based, so we had 2 options - cellulose or pullulan. Pullulan contains other additives, like carrageenan that we do not agree with putting in our products.
Why is this product not USDA Organic?

Probiotics on their own are not a certifiable product by USDA. When you see a probiotic product that is certified organic, it is telling you that 95%+ of that product are things other than probiotics...like prebiotics and those “other ingredients”.
